Eugene Kirwan : Managing Director of SGS Ireland and General Manager of the National Car Testing Service Limited.
Eugene is a native of Ireland and has worked with the SGS Group in various capacities having joined the organization in the UK in 1991. He returned to Ireland to establish an SGS local office in 1993. Prior to joining SGS he worked with ABF in the UK. He is a graduate of University College Dublin.
In December 1998 SGS were awarded the 10 year contract to set up and now operates the National Car Testing Service (NCTS) from 42 test centres employing 425 staff.
Karen O’Hanlon: Certification Business Manager with SGS Ireland Limited
Karen joined SGS in 1994 and has held various positions within the organization ranging from administration, trainee Auditor to IRCA QMS Lead Auditor and OHSAS 18001:1999 Lead Auditor. In June 2000 she took on the role of Client Manager with responsibility for Business Development of the SSCE scope of services in Ireland and in November 2001 she took up the position of Certification Business Manager for SGS Ireland Limited. She is a Graduate of University College Dublin, holding a Bachelor of Commerce and a Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety and also a Graduate of the Marketing Institute of Ireland. She is a member of the Institute of Occupational Safety & Health MIOSH.
Peter Scott : Operations Manager, Ireland, SGS Oil Gas & Chemicals.
Peter is a native of Ireland and has worked with the SGS Group Oil Gas and Chemicals division in Ireland since joining the organisation in 1983. Prior to joining SGS worked with the Jones Group in Ireland as a Ships Master on their coastal Oil Tanker Fleet. He is a graduate of John Moores University, Liverpool and is a Certificated Master Mariner.
In November 2002, Peter took over the Operational Management of SGS Ireland Minerals Division.
Samantha Breen: Marketing Manager with SGS Ireland/National Car Testing Service Limited
Samantha joined the National Car Testing Service Limited in September 1999 where she held full responsibility for the communication, image development and branding of the Service prior to its launch in January 2000. In 2001 Samantha’s role expanded to incorporate all Marketing/PR activities for SGS Ireland which included the re-branding of the SGS corporate image in Ireland. She has recently taken on the role of Global Web Content Manager for the Automotive business line for sgs.com.
Samantha holds an honours B.Sc. in Management awarded by Trinity College, Dublin and a post graduate Diploma in Public Relations.
